Basic SEO and AI search: what belongs in a website package?

A clear website quote separates the launch setup from the work that continues afterwards. Here is what to check, what our starter includes, and which results nobody can promise.

Start with a site customers can understand

A launch setup gives search services a clear, accessible account of your business. It does not buy a position or guarantee that an AI assistant will recommend you. The practical goal is simple: people should understand what you offer, who it is for, where you work and how to contact you.

A useful service page answers a real buying question. For example, a clinic needs clear service information and a route to request a consultation; an equipment-rental business needs visitors to understand the equipment and how to ask about availability. The structure should follow the business, not a list of repeated keywords.

The technical foundations to check

Ask which checks are included and who completes them before the site goes live. A basic handover should make the public pages and their intended addresses clear.

  • Descriptive page titles and a clear heading structure, with useful text visible in the page.
  • A layout that works on a phone, readable contact details and working inquiry links.
  • Canonical URLs and a sitemap that point to the public pages intended for search. Private systems and test pages should stay out.
  • Correct language URLs and connections between versions when multiple languages are in scope.
  • Relevant structured data that agrees with the visible business and service information.
  • A check of search access and redirects when replacing an existing site.

What “AI-search ready” should mean

It should mean accurate business information and accessible, useful content, supported by relevant technical checks. In its current AI-search guidance, Google says there is no special AI schema and that llms.txt does not improve Google visibility.

Keep practical questions and answers for customers, and show real work with context. Do not treat a file, a schema label or a long FAQ list as a guarantee of citations. Other platforms choose their own sources and may describe the same business differently.

What Goldren’s starter package includes

Our starter business website starts at $499: up to 5 pages in one language, 2 rounds of changes before launch, and basic SEO and AI-search foundations. Hosting and the domain cost extra. Additional languages, booking, ecommerce, CRM and other custom work are quoted separately. You receive the full scope and price in writing before payment.

This is the website launch scope. Ongoing content, local-profile management, link outreach, regular search reporting and campaign management need their own agreed scope. Review the starter package or discuss a larger website.

What happens after launch

A new page can be technically ready and still need time, stronger evidence or better content before it attracts useful visitors. Review which services people actually search for, which pages answer those questions and which visits become relevant inquiries.

Improve a real case study, clarify a service or answer a customer question when there is a useful gap. Producing dozens of similar location pages is not a substitute for proving what the business does. SEO and local search and AI-search visibility are ongoing services when that work is needed.

Measure visibility separately from customers

Google’s Search Console AI reporting and Bing AI Performance can provide visibility data where available. Compare it with actual visits and qualified inquiries. A citation is not a booking; a WhatsApp click is not proof that a conversation happened.

Keep a dated record of changes and use the same definitions when comparing periods. Sample AI questions can reveal wrong business details, but one answer is not a stable ranking.

Before you accept a quote

Ask for a short written list of what happens once, what continues monthly, and what is paid to a separate provider. It should answer these questions:

  • Which pages, languages and revisions are included?
  • What do “SEO” and “AI search” mean in this specific scope?
  • Are hosting, domain renewals and paid tools separate?
  • Who owns the site, accounts, content and data?
  • Which event counts as an inquiry, and where does that inquiry go?
  • What is optional after launch, and what does it cost?
